Nature-Based People at Carbon Unbound East 2025

Carbon Unbound East 2025 is upon us, so it's a great time to make friends in NYC. Nature-based folks are sometimes in the minority of the carbon conversation, so it's important that we team up.
Rather than compete for attention with yet another mediocre happy hour, what if we did something outside? In the daytime?!??!

Hara Wang of Cascade Climate (enhanced rock weathering-focused nonprofit) and Chris Tolles of Yard Stick PBC (soil carbon measurement tech) and Emery Sorvino and Meredith Reisfield of Indigo Ag (soil carbon credits/Scope 3 decarb) are co-hosting a morning run/walk followed by coffee and snacks at a cafe on your own dime.

We'll meet at "Pumphouse Park" which is a small spot right next to the 9/11 Memorial and then travel north along the water when we set out. The walking and running groups will take different loops (really just up and then back down the waterfront) but conclude at the same coffee shop, Taritinery, which is right next to Pumphouse Park anyway. That way if you're late you can still join for a coffee.
Afterwards, you'll figure out how to get home/to the conference/whatever on your own. You're about a 10 min walk to the conference venue fwiw.

We'll meet Tues at 7:15AM for the walk/run, and we'll get to the coffee shop around 8AM. After that, it's up to you to hang for a while or to move on with your day.
Yes, you'll miss the Tues 8AM conference agenda item, but hey, everything comes at a cost.

We dunno exactly but an awesome mix of founders, investors, buyers, tech-types, and big company people, all sold out for NbS, whatever that means these days.
This is an open event so please share far and wide! What we care most about is that this is a team of folks passionate about nature-based solutions to climate change.
Are you a person who doesn't focus on nature-based per se in your day-to-day but thinks it's rad/important? Please join us anyway! It's a big tent and there's no loyalty test to pass.
