Our Understanding and Managing Conflict workshops teach basic conflict resolution concepts to build empathy and improve communication with colleagues, employees, and peers. Attendees learn when to use and how to apply these skills to diffuse tension, increase productivity, and contribute to a healthier work environment.

Genesis Fisher is the founder of Fisher Law Practice, P.C., which provides onsite conflict resolution to help businesses and NGOs deal with tough issues and keep employees focused on work, not office disputes. Fisher Beacon offers award-winning workshops for leadership, communication skills, and conflict resolution tools. She is a Certified Mediator and has led or supervised hundreds of mediations. She is a sought-after speaker and trainer whose workshops have helped over 3000 people communicate more effectively. She is a member of the Eastern District of New York Mediation Panel, and serves on the Inaugural Advisory Committee for the Center for Creative Conflict Resolution, which provides conflict resolution services for over 70 New York City agencies.
Ms. Fisher has been an Adjunct Professor since 2014 and is the former Director of the Mediation Clinic at New York Law School. She taught over a dozen courses, from Advanced Legal Methods (legal writing) to Negotiation, Counseling, and Interviewing to a Sociology Practicum on Conflict Resolution at New York Law School, John Jay College, and Rutgers Law School.
