​Lately we've been thinking a lot about how automation and technology are democratizing access to music creation tools while a wave of generative/prompt-based music is emerging due to AI. Swimming concurrently in the zeitgeist is a swell of nostalgia - vinyl is seeing year on year growth, ‘dumbphones’ are surging in popularity, and younger generations are yearning for a time pre-internet. As a response, tactility and physicality are seemingly becoming a signal of what it is to be human and to truly connect.
