About Event

Canada needs a new narrative: one of bravery, ambition, and kindness.

These stories are already being written, by student leaders and seasoned founders alike. They are being told at dinner tables, but deserve a bigger stage to inspire, empower, and connect those building Canada's future.

It's time to bring the dinner table to the stage.

On March 27th, Cansbridge & V2 are hosting Dinner Stories: Resilience, the third in a series of storytelling nights to shape this narrative, together. Come to listen to the scheduled stories, stay to share your own with other young Vancouver-based builders and creatives.

Storytellers

  • Henry Gould: Engineering Physicist at General Fusion by day, lead singer in his band "The Wednesdays" by night, multi-week Arctic canoe trip guide once in a while

  • Joel Hansen: Head of Marketing at League of Innovators, magnetic community builder in the tech ecosystem, and ultra-runner in his spare time

  • Colleen Chang: 2022 Cansbridge Fellow, Co-founder of Tuuli (AI for architects), master of unreasonable hospitality and social magic making

  • Parsa Shani: 2020 Fellow, International Development Consultant at Dalberg, and one of the boldest world travellers you'll ever meet

  • And a few more friends to be announced :)

Theme: Resilience.

Story Criteria: 5 minutes, has a plot that takes place over time, theme-aligned, and has a takeaway.

Format

7:00-7:20pm Arrive, grab some food, make a friend.

7:20-8:00pm Sit back and enjoy stories from our scheduled speakers.

8:00-9:00pm Mix & share your own stories.

Hosts

About Cansbridge: Since 2011, the Cansbridge has nurtured some of Canada's most promising young leaders and entrepreneurs. The stories passed between generations of alumni (and after dinner at Bootcamp, where "Dinner Stories" was born) have empowered them to challenge the bounds of what is possible, and remain open to a world of possibility.

About V2: An open collective for technology, art and science, making Vancouver the place to build the future.

Venue

This small gathering is being hosted at the V2 House, the home of the ambitious in Vancouver.
