About Event

This registration is for our 1st workshop:
Crafting Your Story with Maggie Ollove

Like it or not, storytelling is an essential tool for every designer to have at their disposal. We like to think our designs can stand-alone, but what if they can’t? This session will explore how storytelling can amplify your work by connecting your audience to the possibility that your designs will improve upon what currently exists.

  • Make the case for the value of storytelling in design

  • Framework for shaping a story that connects audiences with your vision

  • Tips for telling a story fitting for your audience

WID x Spitfire presents:
Beyond the Visual, a storytelling workshop series

Whether it’s presenting to a client, leading a team meeting or pitching a concept, great spoken and written communication is an essential skill for designers. It’s also a little outside many of our comfort zones!

Throughout this workshop series, we hope to provide a broad foundation of useful storytelling techniques and a friendly environment in which to practice them. Light food and drink to be provided.

Check out our calendar to register for more workshops!
