IBM Workshop: Quantum System One
IBM is excited to announce UCalgary becoming a member of PINQ² and the IBM Quantum Network.
To celebrate this new partnership, IBM, in collaboration with Quantum City, will be hosting an onboarding workshop about Quantum System One on Wednesday, November 6.
Taking place on UCalgary main campus, the workshop is open to both quantum experts and those with no prior quantum knowledge.
Morning session
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Location: BI 211
Topic: Introduction to quantum computing and IBM's architecture.
Afternoon session
Time: 1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Location: ES 136
Topic: Introduction to Qiskit and a discussion of the various ways students can get involved with IBM projects.
Research Group
Location: ES 524
The workshop will also include the opportunity for research groups with established quantum computing projects to meet privately with IBM quantum researchers to discuss details of their project.
