Designers, let's resist | Anti-oppressive gathering
Design has long been used to uphold systems of oppression—but it can also be a tool for resistance and liberation. How do we disrupt harmful patterns, subvert dominant narratives, and build something better?
In this gathering, we’ll explore the role of creativity in collective resistance—how design, art, and storytelling can challenge power, sustain movements, and open pathways to just and liberatory futures.
This is a space to connect, collaborate, and co-create strategies for pushing back against injustice using our collective creativity.
What to Expect
This gathering will be shaped by those in the room. We’re inviting designers, artists, organizers, and all those using creative means to resist and reimagine brighter futures.
The details are still unfolding—when you register, you’ll have a chance to share what you’d like to explore. We’ll send the agenda and plan as we get closer.
If you're ready to harness creativity for radical change, we hope you’ll join us.
A few logistical details in the meantime:
The gathering will be 90 minutes—join for as long as you can.
The session may be recorded (with attendee consent).
A virtual discussion space may be made available for async participation.
