Who’s Behind It?
This event is a collaboration between Bentley University and UXGA, Climate Designers Boston, and the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF) Boston Chapter. Together, we aim to empower designers to take action on climate issues and build solutions that contribute to a more sustainable future.
What is a Designathon?
A Designathon (or Design Hackathon) is an innovation-driven event where teams of designers come together to create solutions for real-world challenges. Unlike traditional hackathons focused on coding, this event emphasizes user experience, design thinking, and creativity to address sustainability-related problems.

🚀Day 1: Saturday (Innovation & Collaboration)
🔹8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Registration, Networking, and Breakfast
🔹9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Welcome Keynote, Challenge Introduction
🔹10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Team Building and Coffee
⭐10:30 - 12:00 PM: Sponsor Office Hours
🔹11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Initial Teamwork Session
🔹12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch and Networking
🔹1:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Teamwork Sessions and Optional Workshops
(Teams may continue working overnight if desired.)
🏆 Day 2: Sunday (Finalization & Presentation)
🔹8:00 AM - 9:30 AM: Check-in & Team Meeting
🔹9:30 AM: Presentation Submission Due
🔹9:30 AM - 11:30 AM: First Round of Presentations and Feedback
🔹11:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Finalist Presentation

This event is open to all early professionals—whether you're a UX/UI designer, researcher, developer, strategist, or simply passionate about sustainability, there’s a place for you! No prior hackathon experience is required. If registration is over capacity, there will be a waitlist.
