How Fashion Entrepreneurs Can Lead the Circular Economy
As part of the launch of The Green Thread, LSE’s Sustainable Fashion Accelerator, we’re thrilled to welcome two senior experts from Maersk for a session spotlighting the role of logistics, infrastructure, and innovation in powering the circular economy for fashion.
Klaus Koehlert Pagh, who leads Maersk’s decarbonisation strategy, will explore how shifting away from diesel and adopting renewable energy solutions is transforming global freight systems. He’ll highlight the interplay between policy, manufacturers, and logistics in reducing carbon emissions at scale.
Hendrik Rodemann, working closely with fashion and lifestyle brands at Maersk, will share how they co-create agile and responsible supply chains—from reverse logistics and material reuse to the integration of digital transparency tools—tailored for startups and emerging fashion ventures.
Julien Weyl, director of strategy and product at Bendi, a nex-gen AI tool transforming how sustainability data flows between buyers and suppliers, empowering teams to overcome traditional data collection challenges.
Our moderator Julie Sane-Pezet will be delving into these subjects and the session will be opened by LJ Silverman, head of LSE Generate.
Designed for early-stage fashion ventures, students, and innovation professionals, this session will offer practical insights into how circular economy principles are being embedded into global supply chains—and how young ventures can plug into this movement to build future-fit businesses from day one.
