#LATechWeek Female Founders and Funders Walk

​#LATechWeek Female Founders and Funders Walk will take place at Tongva Park on Tuesday, October 15th from 3:00pm until 5:00pm.  This event is a part of #TechWeek - a week of events hosted by VCs, startups and allies to bring together the tech ecosystem. No agenda other than to walk and talk, networking with other like-minded women and woman-identifying founders and funders in the startup ecosystem (outside of the usual, noisy bar atmosphere).  We look forward to engaging conversations while taking in some fresh air!

​​Meet up: You’ll find Tongva Park just south of Colorado Avenue, between Ocean Avenue and Main Street.  We’ll meet up by the park’s entrance on Main Street, directly across from Santa Monica City Hall—we’ll gather there and then set off on the walking path around 3:20. Nearby parking is available at the Civic Center Parking Structure (333 Civic Center Drive) or Beach Parking Lot 1 South Short Term Parking area (1640 Appian Way) and there are several metered spaces near the park.

​​​​Arlene McCoy is an attorney at Venturous Counsel, a uniquely mission-driven firm dedicated to representing underestimated startups, investors and values-aligned companies. She holds an economics degree from the University of California, San Diego and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. Originally from Mexico and a daughter of small business owners, Arlene is committed to providing tailored, responsive, and efficient advice to diverse entrepreneurs. She maintains an active involvement in the community by volunteering in several minority-focused bar associations.
