Lance Armstrong is a former professional cyclist, cancer survivor, and entrepreneur dedicated to advancing health and wellness innovation. After overcoming advanced testicular cancer, he founded the Livestrong Foundation, raising millions for cancer research and patient support. Today, Armstrong leads NEXT VENTŪRES, an early-stage VC firm advancing the future of health, investing in proactive, interconnected solutions that seamlessly blend consumer and clinical care. His expertise spans resilience, sports science, and healthcare entrepreneurship. Through his investments and advocacy, Armstrong is shaping the future of healthcare by driving innovation across the care continuum and championing a whole-person health approach.
Ben Freeberg
Ben is the Founder and Managing Partner of Oncology Ventures, a VC fund investing in data start-ups that enhance cancer care and research. They've made 10 investments to date, ranging from early detection for cancer (Gabbi and mPATH) to infrastructure to improve clinical trials (IgniteData). The Fund is backed by leading healthcare strategics like Cardinal Health, City of Hope, Moffitt Cancer Center and more.
Blake Madden
Blake Madden is the Founder and Creator of Hospitalogy, a newsletter affiliated with Workweek Media that provides the latest insights on healthcare finance, strategy, M&A, and digital health. Blake brings relevant thought leadership and in-depth analysis to more than 24,000 healthcare decision makers since launching Hospitalogy in April 2022. Prior to joining Workweek, Blake worked at the healthcare consulting firm VMG Health, where he provided valuation and advisory services for clients across all healthcare services verticals including nonprofit health systems, ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care, imaging centers, physician practices, and more.
