Fashion Circle: Tuesday Talks 02/11

​What: A panel on fashion and leather goods merchandising and buying within the luxury sector, networking with other established industry professionals, and light refreshments

​​​This month, we will be having a conversation on merchandising and buying within the luxury sector. Join us to discuss the nuances of different customer markets, the changing retail and wholesale environment, commercialization while maintaining brand identity and more topics.

• ​​Manal Aboudafir : Currently the Merchandising Director for Women's Silhouette at CELINE, Manal brings a perspective from her experiences at various points in a brand's life. Her former experiences include time at Thom Browne, The Row, Chloe, and Burberry.

• ​​Joseph Guevara: Currently a Merchandise Manager at Bottega Veneta for leather goods, Joseph brings merchandising and omni-buying experience across categories from his time at CELINE, Diane Von Furstenburg, and Henri Bendel.

​​​Who: We welcome everyone who works in fashion (tech, business, design, big brand, small brand--we're looking for all sides of the industry)

​Why: There are numerous tensions in our industry: business versus creativity, established brands versus emerging ones, and tradition versus innovation. Our goal is to break down the boundaries that define our daily work lives and foster relationships between typically isolated corners of the fashion industry.
