About the Speaker
Chandra is currently the Head of External Innovation, Life Sciences Innovation Group at Danaher Corporation. He is focusing on technologies with potential to transform drug discovery and development – increasing clinical translation success and bringing innovative options quicker to patients.
Previously, Chandra held various leadership positions over twelve years at Bayer. Most recently, he was the Global Head of Pharma R&D Open Innovation at Bayer, where he led the Open Innovation Centers (OICs) around the world (US, Europe, Japan, China, and Singapore). Key accomplishments include the establishment of an innovation center and approval of a Cell & Gene Therapy Incubator in Cambridge, MA (Investment value: $200+ Million).
Chandra is an adjunct assistant professor at the Tufts School of Medicine. He is on the MassBIO Board, serving as the Chair of their Innovation subcommittee. He is also an Innovation, Development & Entrepreneurial Advisory Board Member at the Johns Hopkins University and Board of Trustees at McLean Hospital.
