Content Meetup: Adult Social Care
Does the LocalGov Drupal Landing Page meet the needs of people seeking Adult Social Care?
This month’s content meetup is a hands-on workshop led by Sam Villis from the Department of Health and Social Care.
Sam is part of a multidisciplinary team exploring how people access information and advice about adult social care. The team is looking closely at how local authorities present this information and how design choices can help or hinder access.
We will focus on the LocalGov Drupal landing page template and how it works for adult social care content. Sam will share examples of how different councils use the landing page and a draft user journey with key needs and pain points.
Together, we will explore:
What works well (or less well) about the landing page when it comes to adult social care
The different ways councils have adapted the page – and why
The real-world constraints content designers face when working on adult social care
How we might improve the landing page to better meet user needs
What a more inclusive, accessible and useful page might look like
This session will be run as a workshop with time for discussion, sketching and sharing ideas. It is a chance to reflect on your own council’s approach and shape thinking at national level.
Who it is for:
This session is open to council content designers working on LocalGov Drupal content, especially those with experience of adult social care or services landing pages.
Tools:
We will use Mural for the workshop. Sam will host the board so her team can refer back to the findings. If this raises any accessibility or data concerns, please let us know.
