About Event
  1. Who: Alex Turner, Google DeepMind

  5. What: Alex Turner is a research scientist on the scalable alignment team at Google DeepMind. His talk will be about how AI’s training data can unintentionally shape models with harmful goals. He will explore the mechanisms behind this issue, review existing evidence, propose methods to test the hypothesis, and discuss potential technical solutions to mitigate these risks.

No specific technical background is required - we welcome all interested students who are eager to learn! As with all CAIA events, we will have pizza and boba!
