About Event

Thank you for joining us at the inaugural Undergraduate CS Town Hall at the University of Maryland! 🥳💻

What have we been working on at UMD? What questions and concerns would you like to have addressed?

On Monday, April 21, 2025, we’ll discuss updates and key projects in the Computer Science Department at UMD. Topics will include AI, budgets, branding, recruiting, and more.

This town hall was proposed and organized by Elizabeth Qiu, your undergraduate representative this year. As part of our commitment to fostering stronger connections between students, faculty, the broader UMD community, and beyond, we will highlight the progress and initiatives the Department Council has made. Due to time constraints, we will focus on the top concerns of students in the RSVP responses, but also release detailed notes after the event.

This is also a chance to connect with and have your voice heard by CS faculty and administrators. Don’t miss this opportunity to ask questions, share feedback, or simply witness the conversation. Whether you're interested in tech/higher education policy, looking for academic guidance, curious about the latest department initiatives, or eager to meet your peers, this event is for you.
