About Event

How can we ensure that lived experience is right at the heart of policy and system change for noncommunicable diseases (NCDs) and mental health? This lunchtime session will bring together policy and lived experience experts to discuss meaningful involvement and social participation ahead of the UN High-Level Meeting on NCDs and Mental Health (UN HLM) in September.

  • The Do’s and Don’ts of social participation in policy discussions

  • Examples of where lived experience has been effectively incorporated in policy and system change

  • Key opportunities and milestones for social participation in the run-up to the UN HLM in September

Speakers at the event will include:

  • Steve Jones, Trustee, Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, UK

  • Tanya Hall, Founder and Chief Executive of Hearts4heart

  • Nupur Lalvani, Founder and Director of Blue Circle Diabetes Foundation
