What you'll learn

Transform your home into a mushroom sanctuary in this hands-on cultivation workshop, where science meets practical growing techniques ($125, normally $250).

You'll leave the workshop with the theory, practical skills, and tools to grow your own mushrooms at home, with knowledge of:

  • The biology of mushroom cultivation

  • Individual steps in the cultivation process

  • How to grow different species

  • How to preserve mushroooms

Participants will begin their cultivation journey with a complete growing kit ($40 value) including substrate, grain spawn, and spore syringe. You will start your first mushroom culture during the workshop and watch it flourish at home.

After earning a JD/MPH from Boston University, he worked in health policy, leading a New York State bioethics Task Force on healthcare innovation and pandemic response.
