The Next Generation with Jack Rankin MP
βπΊ Join us for another Next Generation drinks on Tuesday, 2nd September! π‘
βThere goes the well-known proverb: βGive a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.β But what if we take that same thinking and apply it to our economy? Maybe itβs: βGive a person a permit and you build one house. Reform the planning system and you house a generation.β
βThis month, weβre thrilled to be joined by Jack Rankin MP, the Conservative Member for Windsor. Before being elected to Parliament, Jack worked as an energy markets professional, having a career background in commodity trading and corporate finance. He was also a councillor for Windsor and Maidenhead Borough Council between 2015 and 2019. Jack will be diving into supply-side reform - making the case for cutting the red tape thatβs been holding Britain back. Expect a lively conversation about why these changes could be the key to faster growth, more homes and a country that actually gets things built.

βA bit more about these meetings:
βββββββββββββββAt TNGs, we throw our doors open to Westminsterβs finest to enjoy a political discussion over a few glasses of (free) wine. Open to parliamentary staffers, journos, SpAds, consultants, students and even the odd civil servant, TNGs are a place to network, chat, relax and always feature great remarks from our guest speaker. Whatever your politics, we just like interesting ideas and we hope you do too. Itβs for under-35s, itβs informal and we normally end up at the Marquis of Granby. βββIf we reach capacity with RSVPs, we will add you to our waiting list and let you know if a place becomes available.
βββββββββββββββPlease note this event is exclusively for under-35s.
