Mount Empress: Hike Overlooking the Sooke Reservoir

​Welcome to the Shawni Summit Seekers hike!🌲✨

​​​​​A local hiking + social club to bring together the adventurous Vancouver islanders in their 20s + 30s seeking new connections, community, and adventure in the beautiful outdoors with incredible people!

​​​​​You don't have to be an amazing hiker to join the crew, it's all about getting fresh air and exploring PNW with good company🤍

​​​​​What to bring:

• ​​​​​  water

• ​​​​​  snacks

• ​​​​​  layers & gloves

• ​​​​​ hiking shoes

• ​​​​​  A dog, if you have one

​​​​​🏔️About this hike:

This route is a lovely hike with beautiful views at the top. This is an 8.0 km out an back hike. You might find that the last 400 metres to the summit are the steepest and more difficult than the rest of the hike. It is a great choice for a bit of a challenge, but requires nothing too technical. The views at the end offer a great panoramic view of rolling hills and the ocean at a distance.

Bring a lunch to enjoy at the summit with everyone!
