​Join us for Project Pitch Night, a fun evening of innovative ideas and potential collaboration! Whether you're thinking of a new initiative, startup, or a creative way to solve pressing global issues, this is your chance to share ideas and receive feedback.

​When: Sunday, November 10 at 6pm. Try to arrive by 6:30!

​6:00–6:30pm: Mingling
6:30–6:45pm: Introduction to Pitch Project Night
6:45–7:45pm: Pitch presentations
7:45–8:00pm: Voting & results announced
8:00–9:00pm: Unstructured conversation about potential projects 

​Whether you're looking for collaborators, want feedback on an idea, or just want to learn what others are working on, this night will aim to present actionable ideas. I hope we can have a group formed to start working on a project together by the end of the evening!

​How it works

• ​Submit your project ideas ahead of the event. They can be freshly conceived or fully developed.

• ​Each participant will have 5 minutes to pitch their idea to the audience. We will have a projector if you have slides, but it's not necessary.

• ​After each pitch, there will be 5 minutes for attendee questions.

• ​After 6 or 7 pitches, attendees will vote on their favorites. The winning projects will receive a goofy certificate and bragging rights.

​Project criteria

​This is a way to source ideas that our group can work on to have a positive impact and/or build career capital. This can be an idea for an independent or group project, a new nonprofit, or even a startup.

​Some questions we may consider:

• ​What kinds of expertise, skills, or resources would the project need?

• ​How can we quickly test if the project has legs?

• ​How much would we learn from the project if it went as expected? Or better? Or worse?
