UNION Screening with Tech Workers Coalition - Canada Chapter @ BAAA!

​Fellow tech workers. Are you feeling a bit of burnout? Worried about layoffs? Horrified at the political direction our industry is moving in? You are not alone. 

​Come join forces with your fellow workers in the TWC Canada Chapter where we believe our industry must be changed by us, the workers in it. Whether you are a bike courier working at a food delivery app service, a software engineer, a product owner, a data labeller or a content moderator – For TWC, we define tech workers as all those involved in the production or maintenance of digital technologies as tech workers. 

​There are many struggles for liberation whether it is in environmentalism, labor organizing or digital rights but we believe we can find each other to build stronger, more connected movements. Come join us and meet your fellow workers, learn about the TWC Canada Chapter and develop our point of view as Canadian tech workers. 

TWC Canada and BAAA! will be jointly hosting a screening of UNION, the award winning documentary that is a behind the scenes look of how the Amazon Labor Union won their union drive. We will set aside time to discuss the film and how we can apply the lessons to advance solidarity to our fellow workers in analogous struggles here in Canada.
