Get ready for an intimate engineers' dinner in the heart of San Francisco – where the city’s best and brightest engineers, technical founders and AI researchers come together for a night of good conversations, new connections, and shared experiences.
What to expect:
🤝 Support – This is a space for collective problem-solving and inspiration - expect to receive what you put in.
🧘 Listen – Leave the ego at the door. This highly-curated dinner is a space for everyone to engage thoughtfully and authentically.
🤫 Connect – No sales pitches or pressure to impress. Just a space for open-minded engineers to exchange experiences and ideas. Chatham House rules apply.
🍽️ Food – We always centre our events around good food. I'm co-hosting this one with Inaugural AI (more on the team below) - I need to know allergies/dietary info.
More details:
🔒 Requirements – I don't like being unnecessarily exclusive, but these events are always popular, and we only have 20ish spots. We had 1500+ apply to join us at SXSW earlier this year and 500+ apply to join in London more recently. Make it easy for me to learn about you and give me a sentence or two about who you are - first preference goes to lead engineers, senior developers, and data scientists/researchers.
⏰ On the night - 6:30 PM arrival (location shared with confirmed attendees) with the event wrapping up by 9 PM)
About your hosts:
I'm Tom, and I'm currently building joinblok.co. I'm a 3 x exited founder, and a former data scientist in defence/intelligence. Alongside building Blok, I recently joined Rackhouse as a Venture Partner. Outside of building/investing - I'm big into urban exploration.
Tim is a Partner at Inaugural, a venture studio and fund building and backing early-stage AI companies across London, San Francisco and Dubai. In 2001, Tim joined Shazam as one of their first employees and later became their CMO before it was sold to Apple. He went on to work at Google, and later built and sold his own company to Dialpad.
Questions
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! We also run monthly dinners for some of the world's most successful early-stage investors - if you're an angel with 10+ portco's or a VC at an early-stage fund (Series A or earlier) and are interested in joining - let me know.
