our summer camp runs six sessions on tuesdays starting july 1st thru august 2nd. each day has a garden inspired craft and time for reflection.
put your bandanas on, grab your sunscreen and spend time in the summer sun ☀️ learning about the healing qualities of the garden, playing in the soil & creating nature-inspired crafts. all crafting materials, as well as a limited edition summer camp journal, will be provided for you.
session 1: welcome to summer camp! plant your roots in the garden with a tour of all the beautiful fruits, veggies & plants that are in season. we will begin our series with an orientation, gentle movement/mindfulness practice, and DIY flower jewelry.
session 2: set your intention in the garden by painting rocks that show your expression. feel free to leave a few in the garden as a token of gratitude for the earth.
session 3: explore your creativity with a flower pot decoupage workshop, using thrifted and second-hand pots.
session 4: learn how to pot plants in your personal flower pot that you crafted the week prior. then, use the flowers in the garden to create a sun catcher!
session 5: welcome local artist caro thomas in the garden. she will lead us through a cyanotype workshop using the power of the sun and plants from the garden. bandanas will be provided for you to make your sun prints.
session 6: it's the end of summer camp! make a mini bouquet of flowers from local flower farmer adriana adelè. it's not camp without a fire! eat yummy smores, spend time with your new friends and relax in the garden.
