Textiles Untangled: 101 Circular Fashion Workshop (in-person @UCI)
Textiles Untangled is an interactive, 3-hour workshop designed to raise awareness and build collective understanding of one of the world’s most impactful industries. Through a dynamic blend of team-based activities, mini-games, and real-world case studies, participants explore the textile lifecycle—from raw materials to end-of-life—while uncovering key environmental and social challenges.
This session provides an accessible introduction to circular fashion, using fashion as a lens to understand the broader textile system. The experience fosters critical thinking, systems thinking, and the practical application of circular economy principles to promote more sustainable solutions.

About the Facilitator
Amandine Richard is an eco-designer and circular design specialist with over 9 years of experience in the luxury and FMCG industries. As the founder of recurvence, she facilitates and trains organizations and communities to better understand planetary boundaries and climate challenges, using eco-design and the circular economy as tools for systemic transformation.
