West Harlem Innovation Collective Series (1) Meet Michael Cialone at a16z
True innovation requires community blended with commitment, expertise and experience.
The West Harlem Innovation Collective is pleased to invite you to a unique and intimate evening of community on Thursday, May 22, at Heyground Harlem—an entrepreneur incubator space located in the Innovation Triangle–West Harlem, within the Factory District's historic Malt House. The evening will mix networking with a conversation between Michael Cialone, Business and Corporate Development Partner on the Bio + Health team at a16z and Dr. Sam Sia, Founder of Harlem Biospace, Professor of Biomedical Engineering, and Vice Provost for the Fourth Purpose and Strategic Impact at Columbia University. Learn about a16z's interest in bio and therapeutics, its new $750 million life-science and healthcare fund, and current investor sentiments in therapeutics and life sciences.
The West Harlem Innovation Collective is a new cooperative effort of like-minded individuals, not-for-profits and private companies dedicated to helping West Harlem continue to grow into the global center of innovation of New York City, grounded in the realities of everyday life.
The Collective includes Harlem Biospace, Communitas America, City Innovations Collaborative, Life Science Cares New York and the Janus Property Company.
