OneRise is a non-profit initiative dedicated to leveling the playing field for early-stage immigrant founders in NYC.
We focus on providing ClimateTech, EdTech, and HealthTech founders the knowledge, skills, and networks to succeed, through community building, incubator programs, and public events.
Unshackled Ventures is the only early-stage venture capital fund that enables unrecognized and excluded immigrant founders to start companies in the U.S. Since its founding in 2014, Unshackled has proven its thesis that investing and supporting this population drives strong investment returns across key industries, including American infrastructure, generative AI, healthcare, space, and enterprise SaaS. To date, the firm has invested in 80 companies and over 200 entrepreneurs.
The Columbia Startup Lab is a co-working facility located in Soho that provides subsidized space, tailored programming, and community for 71 Columbia alumni entrepreneurs to house and nurture their fledgling ventures. With over 50 startups from all over Columbia, the Lab is the result of a unique partnership between the School of Business, the School of Engineering, the Law, School, the School of International Public Affairs, Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia College, the Data Science Institute and Barnard College, and is open to recent Columbia alumni from every undergraduate and graduate school.
