Pubs and SUDs: A Greener London Bridge Walk
Join us for "Pubs and SUDs", a relaxed urban stroll around the London Bridge area, where we’ll explore the fascinating intersection of city greening and social spaces.
Using the London Retrofit SUDs Map as our guide, we’ll uncover a range of innovative sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) – from rain gardens and green roofs to permeable pavements – tucked away in the city’s streetscape. These quiet climate heroes are helping London adapt to heavier rainfall and create a more livable, breathable urban environment.
After our walking tour and green-spotting adventure, we’ll finish up with a well-earned drink at one (or more!) of the local pubs nestled near some of these SuDS features. It’s a chance to chat, connect, and reflect on how small green interventions are reshaping the city – pint in hand.
Whether you’re a SuDS enthusiast, green infrastructure advocate, or just someone who likes a good urban ramble followed by a drink, this one’s for you.
