About Event

SPANVentures kicks off the 2024 "Breaking Barriers of VC" networking series kickoff with "Did VCs get it right" panel event. With so many Q1 2024 projections that floated around towards the end of 2023, what better way to convene and determine if "VC's got it right"?

  • Moderator: Laurent Span

    • Founder and GP @ SPANVentures.; a venture syndicate focused on providing access to capital for underrepresented entrepreneurs. Laurent is a former management liability broker on Wall St, 2x founder and former D-1 Athlete.

  • Ruben A. Austin

    • A former collegiate footballer from Germany turned entrepreneur and present-day partner at Transatlantic Ventures. Ruben runs the infamous, AllinAll members club which hosts curated events for the venture community.

  • Spencer Chandlee

    • Co-founder of Cardinal & managing an accelerator. Previously at TikTok and BeReal.

  • Zehra Naqvi

    • founder of the Z-List, an angel investor, and an investor at Headline. The Z-List is the pulse of NYC-based events for VCs and Operators.

  • Naomi Goez

    • Principal at Forum Ventures, Naomi is a former supply chain operator turned emerging thought leader and investor, dedicated to bringing more women, first-gen individuals, and immigrants to the table in the venture landscape.

  • Ankit Agarwal

    • Ankit Agarwal is an investor with A7V, his family office. A7V has invested in 50+ early-stage companies, and 12+ venture funds and incubated several companies. Earlier, Ankit founded and exited, Micello, a global geospatial software business.
