About Event
Between 1967 and 1970, Mauricio Kagel composed Staatstheater, a radical “anti-opera” in nine books. The sixth, Spielplan, is a 42-page manual of sonic invention: sounds made with prepared objects, hacked instruments, recycled materials — all amplified through contact microphones and unconventional setups.
Now Stanislas Pili, Joao Calado, Andrea Zamengo brings Spielplan to life in its entirety — possibly for the first time — letting audiences rediscover Kagel’s playful, precise and visionary approach to sound.
On stage, they navigate a wild sonic landscape: dripping installations, wind machines, dismantled pianos, nails, toys, clocks, tubes and more. Every gesture is scored, every sound amplified — a concert of the unexpected.
