About Angel N. Livas
For over 20 years, Angel has used her expertise as an effective producer, executive producer, and director to oversee some of the nation's favorite shows. Her resume includes executive roles for celebrity hosts Larry King and Jane Pauley, just to name a couple. Angel has also worked for prestigious networks such as NBC and Bloomberg TV. Her behind-the-scenes experiences prompted her to bridge the gap between Black creatives and protecting their content.
After seeing how networks would reject the content of Black creatives and repurpose the idea for themselves, she birthed her innovative platform ALIVE Podcast Network. The platform focuses on amplifying black voices while allowing them to take control of their intellectual content with monetization. It also gives subscribers access to their favorite shows in one central location. To date, the acclaimed platform is the home of the 2022 NAACP Image Award nominated podcast ‘Under Construction w/ Tamar Braxton,’ a 2022 Communicator Excellence Award recipient for the podcast ‘The Devil Is A Lie,’ as well as a Techstars Portfolio Company Powered by JP Morgan.
Angel's impactful strides over the past year have earned her several recognitions including: Google Women Techmakers Global Ambassador (2022), Black Media Honors Honoree (2023), Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient (2023), and a seat in the inaugural Geek Ventures Accelerator.
Outside of her successful media career, Angel is a mother to two boys who taught her life’s greatest lesson through her parenting journey, and she is an entrepreneur with several executive roles in the Washington, D.C. Area. Angel is also a charter member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.’s Alpha Beta Alpha Omega Chapter.
