DCRC Trail Series #2 Frommidable Fromme
The Deep Cove Run Club is excited to launch its trail running series. Throughout 2025, you will have the opportunity to compete in 3 different events, with 3 different profiles.
Fast and flowy trails on Seymour [DONE].
Steep and technical trails on Fromme.
A bonus event that we are keeping secret for now.
Times are added up after each event so participate in all 3 to get your final ranking!
As a second event, we are excited to show you the best of what the North Shore has to offer, what we call 'the true gnar', you've guessed it: Fromme. On the menu, we have 16km and 900m of vert. Full course map can be found here.
**This course is not flagged. You are encouraged to have the course downloaded on your watch.** We will have an aid station at Princess Park (at the start/end), as well as at the bottom of Lower Ladies. Water and and snacks will be provided. Start time is 8.30 AM, please check in before 8.20 AM. We will not wait for any late soul.
To spice things up, two Queen/King of the hills segments will be created. One of them will represent the fastest time on one uphill and the other the fastest time on one downhill. These segments will be shared closer to race day.
We will be tracking times in two ways 1) volunteers will be keeping track of arriving times 2) a Strava segment of the entire course will be created ahead of March 1st. This way, we will ensure fair competition among participants. Results are shared on the DCRC website with an updated leaderboard after each event.
Entry is by donation and proceeds will go towards aid station snacks, finish line festivities and a North Shore Rescue Donation (if there are any leftovers).
