People Who Thrive | November
Join People Who Thrive, a monthly gathering for people going after their goals, in community.
At each meeting, a speaker talks for 10 minutes about a time in their life or their career when they asked for help, and receiving that help had a transformative impact. Then, everyone has one minute to address the group and share their elevator pitch, their “ask” (something they need help with), and an “offer” (a way they can be of service to others). When the floor is open for networking, it’s easy to walk right up to someone you can help or someone who can help you and strike up a conversation.
Hyper-independence is overrated; interdependence is how we make things happen.
This month's speaker is Jaclyn Pascocello. Jaclyn Pascocello is the founder of Fabrik, a community space/ "third space" where she's building an innovative solution to combat the loneliness epidemic and create more connection and belonging in our increasingly disconnected world and workplaces. A serial startup founder, Jaclyn has a proven track record of building and scaling startups, including her role as CEO of Heywear and COO of Spacious (acquired by WeWork).
Come ready with your elevator pitch, your "ask," and an "offer" with the group, and quickly connect with people you can help and people who want to help you. Enjoy a self-serve cocktail and mocktail bar while meeting other go-getters who know they can't do it alone.
After the event, you can join the private People Who Thrive slack channel, where everyone can re-state their elevator pitch, ask, and offer after the event, making it easy to follow-up on new relationships and opportunities.
