​Hannes Junginger, PhD is the CEO and co-founder of Carbonfuture, a pioneering climate tech start-up that is building the Trust Infrastructure for durable carbon removal. 

​Under Hannes' leadership, Carbonfuture has developed two flagship products: Carbonfuture MRV+, the most comprehensive Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification solution for durable carbon removal, and Carbonfuture Marketplace, a leading platform for trading durable CDR credits. ​ Prior to founding Carbonfuture, Hannes led the risk management unit of a mid-sized Swiss bank and spearheaded consulting and audit projects for global banks at EY. Driven by a deep commitment to environmental stewardship, Hannes now passionately devotes his professional expertise to climate protection and has dedicated Carbonfuture to durable, verifiable carbon removal. He holds a PhD in mathematics from the University of Freiburg.
