Creating with AI: The WIC Image Equity Challenge

​To mark 25 years of Women in Information and Communication (WIC), the AI Image Equity Challenge invites you to create AI-generated images that put women in tech at the centre of the frame—because you can’t be what you can’t see. This hands-on workshop is here to help you get started, get inspired, and bring your entry to life.

​Led by Thomas Amann, the session offers hands-on guidance in using free and accessible AI tools to produce visual entries that celebrate women’s often-invisible contributions to technology.

​The first hour will demo tools and prompt ideas; the second is free-flowing time to create, iterate or get feedback alongside others. It’s an open, creative space for those who might not usually see themselves in tech to gain confidence and momentum.

​Whether you're entering the challenge, supporting someone who is, or just curious, you’ll leave with a stronger sense of what’s possible when artistic insight meets inclusive innovation.
