Createch meet ups
Join us for our second Createch Meet Up of 2025 at Playopolis in Rochester! This free event is for local artists and educators looking to explore creative technology, share skills, and connect with others in the Hack network.
Each meet-up features a guest artist skill-share, plus time to experiment with creative tech in a relaxed and friendly setting. Drinks and snacks will be available to purchase.
This month we’re excited to welcome:
Jack Coleman (Electric Medway) leading a demo on digital audio techniques for capturing oral history. Jack’s work is part of Intra Stories, a young people-led project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, collecting stories and materials on The Old High Street Intra’s entertainment history to create a digital archive. This will later inspire interactive zines and digital hoardings, created by commissioned artists for our festival in October.
Will Draffin (Docking Station, University of Kent iCCi) showcasing detailed point cloud scans of the historic police station building, demonstrating innovative digital preservation techniques.
The Electric Medway team will bring other creative tech for you to test and explore. We encourage you to bring your own also!

Createch meet ups are part of Hack, our regular sector learning programme designed to help local artists and educators upskill in creative technology and embed it in their work practice.
Launched in 2023, and with a growing membership of over 75 individuals, Hack members are able to access Createch meet ups, Power hour skill webinars, Industry masterclasses and Artist commissions.

We have previously held sessions led by UK leaders in the XR and creative tech sector, including DARKFIELD, Sarah Ticho, John Whall, BRiGHTBLACK, Frazer Merrick, Livi Wilmore, Cybersaur Arts, Hey Green Raven and more!
In 2024 we received partner support from Docking Station (University of Kent iCCi), A+E Lab, Hulked Project and Dovetail Games.
