NY #TechWeek Soccer Championship (& Pitch Contest)
Come join the NYC Tech Eco-system for the 2nd NYC Tech Week Soccer Championship!
Put on by Pitch on the Pitch and Kickoff FC, This game is open to ALL skill levels of soccer, but limited only to those operating as a Founder, VC, Operator, or Partner in the Tech NYC Ecosystem.
The goal is to connect great people by having fun and building a more memorable bond together. If we can all help each other advance a professional goal (and score a goal on the pitch) - even better. You'll also get to enjoy some Waku Tea after the game!
This event is a part of #TechWeek - a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem.
The Agenda:
11am - 1pm: Soccer Games and Ask Session
1pm - 1:30: Pitch contest
3pm: Optional Brunch (space is limited)
We call it Soccer Networking: We're here to play and have fun, but also to do business. The structure of this game is for everyone to play soccer, and then we all make an ask in front of the group afterwards. We've done this before and have made 70+ introductions as a result. Why not bring the same energy to NYC Tech Week :)
Game Format: We will play multiple games with 7 to 9 players per team
What to Bring: Please bring turf shoes or even sneakers. Also depending on the weather, it is fine to wear shorts - or it is fine to wear sweatpants. Feel free to bring your own shin guards - but we seriously hope those aren't necessary.
How long will we play for? The soccer is expected to last 90 - 120 minutes - with 30+ minutes of asks afterwards.
What's the main rule? This is a game to have fun and to network. Please show up to be awesome and fun to play with. No jerks or aggressive soccer playing allowed - your business and professional network counts on it.
