Bay Area Climate Resilience: Walking Tour & Meetup
Join Climate Designers Bay Area, Climatebase Fellows, and Exygy for an augmented reality walking tour and meetup focused on climate resilience and adaptation efforts for the waterfront in San Francisco.
5:00–6:00 PM: Postcards from the Future, an Augmented Reality SF Walking Tour
We are delighted to be joined by Luiz Barata from the Port of San Francisco to lead us on a guided version of this tour. The tour was created by Gabriel Tenaya Kaprielian and co-curated by Sarah Atkinson as part of an exhibition at SPUR that explored the past, present, and potential future transformations of the city’s changing shoreline.
Meet at 5pm sharp at the Mechanics Monument on Market and 1st St, right off of the Montgomery Bart stop. For those driving, Golden Gateway Garage is nearby.
You can find information for the full self guided tour here. We are doing a shorter version. Please download the app, Adobe Aero, in advance so we can start the tour promptly.
6:00–8:00 PM: Happy Hour at Gott's
Wind down and connect with fellow climate creatives and professionals. Chat about what you learned on the tour, and make some new friends over drinks and casual conversation.
What to Expect:
An energizing and accessible entry point into conversations around climate resilience
Opportunities to meet others working across disciplines to build a better future
An informal atmosphere — come as you are and bring a friend!
