Cyanotype and Chill in Rock Creek - Washington, DC
Come congregate with fellow queers in Rock Creek Park, in the heart of the city, to do a cyanotype workshop with local artist Julia Kagan!
We will go for a short nature walk to find leaves or objects to use - or bring your own dried flowers and trinkets! - and print on tote bags and paper, using the sun.
One event ticket costs $20 and gets you one 8x10 print on archival watercolor paper. This cost goes to the artist, Julia Kagan, for her time and supplies. If you'd like to upgrade and print on a tote bag at the event, please indicate this in your registration, and you can purchase a bag for an additional $15 at the event. If this pricing poses a barrier to entry for you and you'd like to purchase a $10 subsidized ticket for your 8x10 print, enter the discount code TVOP10 at checkout.
We ask folks under the age of 18 to please register themselves and an adult to accompany them. This event is intended for the LGBTQ+ community. If you require a service dog to attend, please let us know and we’ll collaborate with you on how to keep you both comfortable and hydrated on the hike.
