

UConn DojoExplore Seminar 4: Intellectual Property and Technical Moat
Nucleate Dojo is Nucleate’s undergraduate subdivision, empowering college students to become the next biotech leaders through open-access education, capital, and community.
DojoExplore is a 5-week, introductory in-person seminar series designed to expose undergraduate students to the field of biotech, its basic functions, and its multitude of opportunities. The program is executed in collaboration with UConn iGEM. Guests ranging from biotech VC to early-stage biotech founders to industry and academia leaders will be carrying out 1-1.5 hour seminars throughout the Fall term.

About Christopher Conners
Dr. Conners is a Director of Licensing for Life Sciences for the University of Connecticut’s Technology Commercialization Services (TCS). He helps to oversee the Life Science portfolio for the University, and is responsible for technology evaluation, intellectual property protection strategy, technology marketing, and commercial partnership development. He also supervises the TCS internship program. He is a technology transfer professional with nearly a decade of experience. He holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Florida, as well as a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of South Florida. His research background is on biomaterials, specifically focused in nanomaterials for drug delivery applications.
