About Event

A casual happy hour celebrating founders breaking the mold.

There're countless ways a founder may not fit into today's startup ecosystem. They could be underrepresented because of gender and race, being a veteran, not of the dominant religion in Utah, sexual orientation, neurodiversity or any number of personal backgrounds.

But there's one thing that's almost always true about being underrepresented in the world of tech and startups: despite sometimes being underestimated or overlooked, there is opportunity in breaking the mold. Whether it's tapping into a new market or harnessing the strength that comes from adversity, these founders are building incredible businesses and shattering glass ceilings every step of the way.

So join us as we discuss the topics that don’t get a lot of airtime in the tech/founder world, and share stories about the many ways in which there is opportunity in the overlooked. There will be an open mic portion of the evening (~3 min stories welcome), so come prepared to share your story, or cheer on your fellow founders and investors who share theirs!

Enjoy drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and fresh, diverse connections!
