Maker's Block (Edition #2): Where makers ship together
You know that feeling?
Every professional dreams of creating meaningful work that matters.
Then Saturday rolls around. You open your laptop with fresh energy, ready to bring those ideas to life.
But before you know it, notifications ping, random thoughts drift in, and that creative spark starts to fade.
Soon you're caught in the maze of "What if..." and "Maybe later..."
Another weekend slips through your fingers, and those meaningful projects stay tucked away in the "someday" folder of your mind.
Welcome to Maker's Block.
We believe in the power of focused creation. In a world of endless scrolling and constant notifications, we're carving out a sacred space where your only obligation is to your craft.
Just as writer's block stops words from flowing, Makers' Block is when creators deliberately block time on weekends to make ideas flow into reality.
And you'll be building alongside people who understand that sometimes all you need is the quiet companionship of fellow creators to turn your "someday" projects into "today's" achievements.
📅 Saturday, Feb 8th
⏰ 11.45 AM - 4:00 PM
We're keeping this intimate with just 8-10 spots because the real focus needs space to breathe.
The Format
11:45 AM: Brief intros & sharing of what you will be working on.
12:00 PM: Deep work begins (In between you can ask for help if stuck somewhere and a snack will be served)
4:00 PM: Demo Time! Share what you've been working on, even if it's still a work in progress. No judgments here. We're all about celebrating progress, not perfection.
Suggestion: While presenting, avoid negative self-talk like 'I couldn't do it' or 'This is a bad version.' Instead, focus on what you've accomplished and the learning process; every step forward counts! For example, you could say, 'Here's what I've been working on so far; it's still a work in progress, but I'm excited about the progress I've made and the direction it's heading. I'd like to get feedback from you all'
