Meet the Founders who are Building it Here.

​Epicenter is inviting founders in the local tech and innovation community to join our team at Epicenter's downtown headquarters to connect with their peers and learn about the available resources to support scalable businesses in Memphis!

​Taking place on September 26th from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00p.m., attendees can expect to hear about the startup opportunities available in Memphis from Nate Smith, Director of Startup Services at Epicenter.

​You can also expect to hear from local entrepreneurs who have founded and grown their businesses through the help of Epicenter and the broader Memphis entrepreneur ecosystem. For this event, we will be providing appetizers from The Genre and a selection of beverages bartended by Juice by Lissa including a Blue Note Bourbon craft cocktail.

Please RSVP by September 19th to confirm your attendance. We hope to see you there! Epicenter is located at 150 Peabody Place right at the intersection of Peabody and BB King. Street parking is available. Garage parking is available at 250 Peabody Place.

About the Speakers: Nate Smith

​Nate Smith is Epicenter’s Director of Startup Services. Nate has been working with venture capital, angel investors, and startups for almost a decade, and is also a musician and artist.

Amber Hayes is a visionary leader with over 12 years of experience driving innovation and growth in the tech industry. With a background in electrical engineering and computer science, she has successfully led SecondKeys through transformative changes, expanding its footprint across multiple industries. As CEO, Amber's strategic foresight and commitment to sustainable business practices have helped secure funding from prominent investors such as Morgan Stanley and Hearst Lab. Beyond her role at SecondKeys, she is deeply involved in supporting other startups, sharing her expertise and leadership. Under her leadership, alongside her CTO, SecondKeys has won numerous awards and is looking to continue expanding in the market.

Marterrious McClain is a seasoned technology executive with deep expertise in software engineering and product development. As the Chief Technology Officer at SecondKeys, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s technology strategy, ensuring that innovation remains at its core. With a career spanning over 12 years, Marterrious has been instrumental in developing cutting-edge solutions that have propelled the company’s growth and success. His background in homeland security, coupled with his experience as a U.S. Army veteran, brings a unique perspective to his leadership in tech innovation.
