Founders Running Club :: San Francisco
Founders Running Club (FRC) brings founders, investors, tech, creative people and startup enthusiasts together for weekly easy runs and networking.
This Saturday we’re not running in two groups, we’re organizing a 5k race instead. We’re meeting at the same spot (Murphy Windmill, https://maps.app.goo.gl/TCY85vZs92AmXC4r9) at 9:30am, registering the runners, doing a usual warmup and jogging to an undisclosed location 500 feet away.
We will race 2.5k on a flat paved surface along the ocean and then return back resulting in full 5k. Female and male (we’ll have two divisions) winners will get prizes (small ones) and bragging rights (as much as you can carry). All the participants will get a tiny yet commemorative medal 😅.
After the race we’re going to do what we normally do — walk to the coffee place and enjoy the chats and coffee/tea/pastries over there.

⁃ What should I expect from the race? Expect to have fun.
⁃ What if I never raced before? This will be the friendliest race in San Francisco. You’ll get all the support and an opportunity to try it for the first time. You are welcome to switch to jogging if you’re not feeling like it
⁃ How can I prepare? Please make sure you can run 5k (3.2mi). Be ready to run faster that you normally do.
⁃ Do I need to sign up in advance? No, we’ll register everyone as they come.
⁃ Do you provide a clothing storage? No, unfortunately.
⁃ How can I tell that I need to U-turn? We will have start, finish, and U-turn markers and people there.
⁃ Can I bring my friends? Yes, please!
⁃ Can I be late? Please come on time, we won’t be able to wait for you.
⁃ Have you ever organized the races before? No, but we participated in many. This one is an opportunity for us to learn how to do the races.
