The Games

​Humanity has entered a perpetual golden dawn. Thinking machines and near-limitless energy propel us towards a heaven of our own creation. 

​But still the strong vie for control. 

​Rivalries ripple through powerful houses competing to own our future. The ever-present threat of real conflict threatens to sunset humanity’s rise. To quell the conflict, the governing houses shed all cybernetic enhancement to host a pure competition titled simply - The Games. 

​Dozens of elite competitors, warriors, strategists, visionaries, and scholars, accompanied by an audience of many more, will face off openly, their struggles broadcast for all to witness. By sunset, only one champion will remain, tasked with uniting humanity and leading it into a prosperous future. 

​On Friday October 10th, competitors and spectators gather at the battleground - Rancho Quien Sabe - to feast before battle. Saturday morning marks the start of the competition; spectators tour the arena, assess the contenders, and place their bets. By evening, the victor is crowned and the fallen honored. Celebrations commence until dawn. By Sunday morning, the attendees return home, sharing stories of victory, loss, and the hope of a new beginning.
