Welcome to the Wed edition of the Tech Brews SG x DxD Hub event series! This special collaboration with DxD Hub brings you quarterly workshops in 2025, focusing on how various players and enablers in the ecosystem can support health technology translation and commercialization for impactful health and economic outcomes.
This week, we are honoured to have Wang Yi (Billy) Ph.D, Assistant Professor from the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, Co-director of Health Intervention and Policy Evaluation Research (HIPER), and Co-director of Medical Innovation Development and Assessment Support (MIDAS), who conducted research in health technology assessment and early health technology assessment to inform health technology development and reimbursement.
Health Technology Assessment (HTA) is a multidisciplinary process that evaluates the technological, clinical, economic, and societal impacts of health technologies. It is widely used to assess the value for money of healthcare interventions and to inform reimbursement decisions in countries such as Singapore, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and Australia. In this session, we will explore how HTA supports evidence-based healthcare innovation, guides resource allocation, and informs reimbursement decisions.
