About Event

Climate Fresk for Everyone @International School of Losa Angeles (LILA): Learn, Collaborate, and Act! 🌍🌱

Join us for an engaging and interactive workshop organized in collaboration with the International School of Los Angeles (LILA) to understand climate change. This hands-on, educational, and collaborative experience is designed for both adults (14+) and children (8-14 years old), inspiring all participants to become the climate changemakers of tomorrow.

🌍 Who Can Participate?

  • Kids (8-14 years old): A 3-hour activity (including workshop and breaks), offering an age-appropriate, dynamic introduction to climate change, empowering them to become future leaders in tackling climate issues.

  • Adults (14+ years old): A 3-hour in-depth workshop that explores the complexities of climate systems and solutions, equipping participants with the knowledge and tools to drive change in their communities.

Please note: Kids and adults will participate in separate workshops to enhance the learning experience for both groups.

👥 A Workshop for Everyone

Though kids and adults will learn separately, this event welcomes everyone—from beginners to those with advanced knowledge—eager to make a difference. Using Climate Fresk’s signature approach, you’ll connect the dots between climate causes, effects, and solutions. Leave empowered with a deeper understanding of climate change and the tools to take action and inspire others as future changemakers.

👉 How the Game Works

Please Note: This is a 3-hour group activity that requires your full participation to ensure a rewarding and enjoyable experience for everyone.

The workshop centers around a collaborative game featuring 42 cards, each representing a cause or consequence of climate change. Under the guidance of a trained facilitator, your team will work together to map out the cause-and-effect relationships between these elements. Through this step-by-step approach leveraging your group’s collective intelligence, you'll uncover the complex and interconnected nature of climate change.

No prior knowledge is required. Our facilitators will guide you through each step, and you'll tackle the challenge as a team. We're aiming for an engaging blend of learning, creativity, and fun!
