Young Friends Midwinter Retreat
Young Friends are invited to gather for our second and longest retreat of this school year! Young Friends Retreats are special opportunities for high schoolers (or people who are high school age) in New England to take a deeper dive into building community and exploring the Quaker way together. More info including the theme will be posted here in the fall. Registration will open on December 1st.
About staying at Woolman Hill
This retreat will be held at Woolman Hill Retreat Center in Deerfield, MA. Delicious meals will be provided by a yet-to-be-named cook, with something for everyone according to the dietary needs you describe when you register. Because this retreat is being held at a retreat center and not a meetinghouse, we will sleep in beds in assigned rooms, with 1-3 roommates. Young Friends should bring their own sheets and pillowcases or a sleeping bag, and blankets and pillows are provided. Bathrooms and showers are single stall and gender neutral. Woolman Hill is newly renovated to be ADA accessible, so please let us know if you need special accommodations.
Payment
This retreat is "pay-as-led," meaning families can pay what they are able on a scale from $0 to $250+. Families may pay online when you register, or enter $0 and bring a check or cash to the retreat. This particular retreat costs more to host than others as it is longer and we stay at a retreat center rather than a meetinghouse.
