Building the K50 Thesis, Brand, and Community with K50 Managing Partner Ryan Bloomer. Ryan has been supporting founders building purpose-driven companies for more than 15 years and has invested in 150+ companies at the early stage as a venture capitalist.  He will share why he started K50 Ventures, its edge for sourcing and selecting the very best founders, and how it contributes to the success of portfolio companies as the first institutional check and long-term partner to purpose-driven founders.

Deep-dive into Embedded Financial Services with K50 Ventures Senior Partner Nick Talwar.  Nick, who is based in Palo Alto, has 20 years of experience building alongside the world’s best talent in embedded financial services. Previously, he was the SVP of Credit Cards at Visa, GM at Amazon Lending, GM of Vehicle Supply at Uber, and CEO of CircleUp.  Nick will share stories of how he launched and scaled Amazon Lending (which today does $10B in annual loan volume), ran Uber's vehicle supply business globally prior to its IPO, and funded companies at CircleUp. He will focus on the underwriting, acquisition strategy, business model, and product features that work for the SMB segment.

Why LatAm and Why VC for Family Offices with K50 Senior Partner Daniel Vasquez. Daniel, who is based in Medellín, Colombia started his venture career leading his family office, which is now a direct investor in more than 100+ venture deals and 20% of Spanish-speaking LATAM unicorns.  Daniel will share his outlook on investing in technology in LATAM, how his family office started and scaled its efforts as an investor in funds and startups, and how VC can be an antidote for the underdevelopment “trap” in the region.

10:30-11:30 am: K50 portfolio companies will share their origin stories and pitch their businesses. Each pitch will take 10 minutes, followed by a five-minute Q&A from the audience. The Q&A panel will be led by Diego Fleischmann, serial Fintech entrepreneur and co-founder of Migrante/Galgo.
