๐๏ธ Post-DevCon Day Trip: Let's Explore Ayutthaya! ๐๏ธ
โHey everyone! Since many of us are heading to DevCon and some might be staying over the weekend, so Iโll show you guys around!
Who's up for an awesome day of temple hopping and food hunting in Ayutthaya!? ๐
โFun fact: Ayutthaya was Thailand's capital for over 400 years and was one of the world's largest cities in the 1700s! It's like a massive open-air museum just an hour from Bangkok, and it's going to blow your mind! ๐คฏ
โWhat makes Ayutthaya so special?
โIt's a UNESCO World Heritage site (fancy, right?)
โImagine a city with temples everywhere you look
โIt was the Venice of the East with canals and trading ships from all over the world
โThe ruins tell amazing stories of Thailand's golden age
โPlus, it's where some of Thailand's most famous dishes were born!
โWhat's the plan?
โWe'll leave Bangkok around 8 am, then we'll wander through stunning temple ruins (including Wat Mahathat with its famous Buddha head wrapped in tree roots - trust me, it's Instagramable!)
โHunt some delicious local food (the boat noodles here are legendary!)
โLots of chances for photos and fun stories about Thailand's history
โMaybe even spot some elephants at the historical park!
โTips
โWear comfy shoes and clothes that cover knees & shoulders (temple rules!)
โBring sunscreen and a hat (it gets hot!)
โCash for snacks, drinks and entrance fees
โA sense of adventure! ๐
โCan't wait to show you around this incredible piece of Thai history! ๐ย
